In his editorial, founder George W. Linn shared the final details from his long European trip. He and his wife traveled aboard the ship S.S. America from Southampton, England, to New York, where they then attended the fall American Stamp Dealers Association stamp show.
"After running over much of Europe for two months it makes one feel awful good to realize that he is on the last lap and will soon be home again," Linn wrote.
M&S Stamp Service of New York, N.Y., advertised a set of mint United States Scott 348-51, the Washington and Franklin series of vertical coil stamps of 1909-10, for $16.15. A set of the mint, never-hinged stamps today catalogs at $985.
